Abby
Kessler on NewTV in Newton, MA

Newton, Massachusetts
acupuncturist/acupressurist Abby Kessler
appeared recently on the NewTV show "Sunny
Side of the Street". During the show,
hosted by Newton psychologist Tod Gross,
Ms. Kessler demystifies Eastern terms
such as "yin", "yang"
and "qi" and describes
the techniques she uses as she demonstrates
on a patient. "I wanted viewers to
see what occurs during a treatment how
I assess a patient's condition, and determine
and execute a treatment strategy."
Ms. Kessler
explained during the show, subtitled "Healing with Chinese Medicine," that, "although one-third
of the world's population uses acupuncture
and Chinese medicine as their primary
healthcare system, many people in the
U.S. believe acupuncture only treats the
nervous system and relieves pain. However,
acupuncture is actually the skilled manipulation
of electro-magnetic currents that flow
throughout the body. It signals the
cells to regenerate and repair, and stimulates
the endocrine, immune, digestive, circulatory,
musculo-skeletal and other systems to
promote healing."
The show will be available for viewing on this
website in the near future so check back
soon!
